Christmas

Christmas Crafting is about to begin for me.  I created a cute SVG for Mater snowman and want to make a wall decoration with him.  I haven't make it yet, but here's what he will look like.  Hopefully, since I have the week off, I will get lots of crafting and decorating done before Thanksgiving. What do you usually make for gifts?

Followers and Free SVG File

I love posting to my blog, but have yet have any followers.  I know, visitors stop by and look at things on my blog, but I'm feeling lonely.  As an incentive to follow and comment on my blog, I have been creating my own Studio files for my Silhouette Cameo and would love to share one if I can get 50 followers and a comment on any post in my blog.  I will check daily and once it reaches 50, I will share the file for you to use for your own personal use.  Wondering what the file is?  Well here's a picture:

Halloween Treats

I went as the Evil Queen from Snow White and wanted to make treats for Mia's class.   Since she is a fifth grader this year,  I won't be making anymore class treats :( and wanted something fun.   This is what I made.

Halloween Fun!

I absolutely love Halloween and love making Halloween themed items.  This year I wanted to decorate my house in a theme besides just Halloween so I decided to do a Nightmare Before Christmas theme.   I made a few wreaths to hang in various places and I wanted to keep the theme going so I bought 10 yards of fabric to decorate the windows and the fireplace.  I had so much fun putting it all together and now it's time to take it all down.  I wish I could just leave it up for Christmas, but I don't know how that will look if I did.  My husband wants to just add to the decorations and keep the same theme for Christmas, but that would mean redesigning to fit the holiday season, so for now, I haven't decided what I want to do.   Here's how it  looked for Halloween though:

Hi there!   Today I thought I'd make a little treat holder to fill with my sister's favorite candy as a little"Thank you" gift for inviting me to bake with her last week. We had such a good time I wanted to let her know with a small gift.   Here it is:

Paper Piecings

Hi there!   Summer is really going by fast isn't it?   Today I thought I would work on some paper piecings.  I finished Chip and Dale finally.   I am loving my Silhouette Cameo!  I thought about buying the new Cricut Explore,  but after much research I found out that I can't do what I am able to do on my Silhouette and that's making my own piecings like my Disney nerds.   Here they are.   Let me know what you think please!

Blogging

So, as you can see, I started this blog 3 years ago.  Originally I wasn't sure what I was doing back then and just knew that I liked reading and looking at all kinds of craft blogs, so I thought it would be fun to have one of my own.  What I didn't know was, how to get followers to make it worth my while.  The last few years I've just been using my blog as a teaching tool for my 5th graders, but having the summer off has made me realize that I want to share so much more of my work.  Since I have years (and I do mean years) worth of crafts, scrapbooking, and other crafty things that I've made, I decided to start sharing them here at my blog and on pinterest.    Hopefully someday, I will have more than one follower :) So, if  you like visiting, please become a follower and don't hesitate to leave a comment, I would really like to see what you think of my work. 

Baby Shower Gift

My cousin is having a baby shower and I wanted to make something special.  Of course it had to have a little Minnie Mouse touch to it.  I've seen all kinds of cute shower gifts on Pinterest and thought I would attempt to make something different.  I made a stroller our of blankets, bibs, and even added a cute little Minnie Mouse stuffy.  Here it is!

Breakfast at Tiffany's

Every year I get to attend my sisters annual tea party.   The theme changes and this year is Breakfast at Tiffany's.  I absolutely love movies from the 1960 ' s and think I should've been a grown up then as I love the fashion and the simplicity of that era.   But I get to enjoy watching them now.   Here are some photos and things I made for the party.
